The First-ever Albino Twins in Argentina, Catalina and Virginia who has Snow-White Hair

Two little albino girls named Catalina and Virginia who lives in Argentina has gain so much public attention on the internet in the year 2018, at the time of their birth.

Four years ago, their parents got the good news that they were going to welcome a set of twins. Jorge Gomez and his wife were very happy and excited to have twin baby girls because they already had a son.

Gomez told that his wife used to go her doctor for routine check up regularly during her pregnancy and everything was going very smooth.

“When they gave us the news that we would have two babies, it gave us a lot of happiness, and when they were born, and we saw that they were albinos that happiness did not change at all. For us it is a blessing,” he said to a local news outlet.

He further said that there were not any kind of complications in pregnancy and his wife was completely fine at that time. In the 36th week doctors told Mr Gomez and his wife that they had to deliver babies right away.

Finally the parents welcomed their little girls, Catalina and Virginia in the 36th week  They were born premature but healthy. Catalina came two minutes earlier than Virginia her weighed was 5.95 lbs and then Virginia was born after two minutes, weighing 5.5 lbs.

The incredible things about the twin sisters was their hair. They were born different then other kids neither their parents didn’t see any new born with milky white hair nor anyone else.

Right after their birth the girls went viral in Argentina in 2018. Many newspaper and media outlets also made them headlines.

When their pictures started circulating on the internet people went crazy to see the twin baby girls with snow-white hair.

Both the sisters were born with albinism, which is a rare genetic disorder where there is a little or no production of the pigment melanin in the skin.

All the people with albinism have white or blonde hair because of not having enough melanin pigment in the skin and it’s also affect the color of their skin and eyesight. Sometimes the kids born with ginger hair too which is totally depends on the amount of melanin pigmentation they have in their skin.

These twin-sisters with their rare condition  got so much popularity in Argentina because they were first who were born with albinism in their country

“When they gave us the news that we would have two babies, it gave us a lot of happiness, and when they were born, and we saw that they were albinos, that happiness did not change at all,” said by Jorge Gomez to LV 12.

While discussing his feelings the father of three shared that he was very happy at the time of their birth and never had a thought that their kids were different from anyone.

“There were some precautions that we as parents had to bear in mind. For example, the girls are extremely sensitive to UV rays, which affect their skin and can cause sunburn and even cancer in a worst-case scenario,” their father said.

“So, we have to be extra cautious all the time and make sure that they are not going in the sunlight and are well protected from extreme weather conditions, especially hot weather.”

The albino twins has become four years of age now and getting more beautiful day by day.
