Jamie Lee Curtis Got Emotional When Halloween Fans Gave the Title Of “The Greatest Final Girl” To Her in A Video Tribute

American actress, producer, children’s author and activist named Jamie Lee Curtis who first got prominent because of her portrayal of Lt. Barbara Duran on the ABC sitcopm Operation Petticoat.

She is popularly known for the character Laurie Strode which she played in the Halloween film franchise. Jamie did so many noticeable projects in which True Lies, Freaky Friday, MY Girl, Anything but Love, A Fish Called Wanda Scream Queens are included.

Because of her great acting skills, she received so many awards include People’s choice Award, BAFTA Award and also won a Golden Globe Award.

Nowadays the Anything but Love actress is busy in the promotion of her recent movie, Halloween ends. It was reported that this will going to be her last Halloween movie.

The 63-year-old actress came to The Jimmy Kimmel Show recently where she signed a document attesting that her movie named Halloween Ends would be her last Halloween movie.

As per Daily Mail reported, “Jimmy, 54, pulled out a document titled ‘I declare this is my last Halloween movie’ for Jamie, 63, to sign after playing Laurie in six previous Halloween films.”

However, she signed it after some seconds.

“I’ve been weeping for about a month now, trying to figure out how to say goodbye to all of this,” she added.

Talking about her character in the Halloween film series Kimmel asked her that why this character is so close to her heart, in the reply she questioned her in return and said,

“Let me ask you, how would you feel if you had to say goodbye to your show, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, and your crew?”

According to Curtis she was curiously waiting to experience this entire thing and also ready to off her shoes if necessary.

At the promotion of her movie she cried after hearing from her fans that she is the greatest ‘Final Girl’ in the whole world.

On Friday, the official Instagram account of Halloween ends shared an heart-wrenching video where her fans was seen thanking her for her outstanding portrayal of Laurie Strode.

“The greatest ‘Final Girl’ in the world,” one fan said.

“You mean a lot to myself, and horror fans and film fans across the world,” another commented.

“I love you, we love you, thank you,” another fan concluded in the video with a flying kiss.

“Thank you, guys. Jamie answered her fans with teary eyes. 

“It’s obviously hard, all of it is hard saying goodbye, and nobody wants to say that. So, I won’t say that. I am just going to say thank you.” she added. “It’s a legacy that I’m very, very proud is attached to me and one that I treat with a lot of respect. So, Happy Halloween everybody, God bless you all. Thank you for everything.”

According to Variety“The film is predicted to earn $43.4 billion at the domestic box office during the opening week.”

Later this month, the actress also wrote an essay for People where she explained her experience of almost 40 years playing Laurie Strode in the Halloween movies.

“I have tried over the years to inculcate those aspects of Laurie’s character into my own, to carry that mantle and represent survivors of all types of unimaginable horror and trauma, pain and suffering, who stand up to tyranny and oppression — real and imagined,” she wrote.

“When I look scared in a movie, it’s because I am scared. I am scared right now, as I hang up my bell-bottoms and say goodbye to Halloween. Life is scary. But Laurie taught me that life can also be beautiful, filled with love and art and life! Thank you all for MINE!”
