On Friday, the famous American singer, Selena Gomez achieved another milestone after hitting 400 million followers on her Instagram account. It occurred a couple of weeks after she beat Kylie Jenner and became the most followed woman on the social media platform.
For the past few weeks, Selena, Kylie, and Hailey have been going viral on the internet after Gomez was shaded by the latter two.
And it began with Instagram stories…
When 26-year-old Hailey reposted one of the Instagram stories of a lifestyle account on her profile featuring Rhode skin care products. Bieber also added the song ‘Calm Down’ to her repost.
But she played the song’s original version and did not add the one which featured Gomez.
After watching Hailey’s stories, many people started assuming that she did it for a purpose because of their past ‘history’.
Fans didn’t stop here and as they also accused 25-year-old Kylie Jenner for mocking Selena as she shared her ‘eyebrows’ story along with the screenshot of her video call with Hailey on Instagram.
The drama actually began when Jenner shared a story on her Instagram while saying she ‘accidentally laminated her eyebrows too much’.
Selena’s fans thought that Kylie was trying to shade Gomez through her stories, because in her recent TikTok video Selena had already posted about, “accidentally laminating her eyebrows too much. “
According to the Daily Mail reports, “Some critics raised eyebrows again and thought Jenner was shading Gomez again when she followed up by posting what appeared to be a screenshot of her Facetime call with Hailey Bieber, that zoomed in on their eyebrows.”
The user @devotedly.yours also claimed that Kylie got scared from Gomez as she is the most followed woman on the social media app and can destroyed her anytime.
In a response to the heavy criticism, the Kylie Cosmetics founder addressed all the rumors which was running around on the internet regarding her that she made fun of Gomez’s eyebrows.
Denying all the rumors of throwing shade at Selena, Kylie said that the post was just silly and nothing more.
On the comment section of the viral video clip of the TikToker @devotedly.yours, Kylie wrote, “‘this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly,”
“I could be reaching, but it definitely feels like Kylie Jenner’s IG stories were towards Selena Gomez. Especially the screenshot of her facetime call with Hailey Bieber. This feels very HS,” the TikTok user wrote under her now-viral video on the social media platform.
Selena was also seen agreeing with Jenner that people are making huge from nothing and also added that it’s was not necessary at all.
“Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!” Gomez wrote.
But the fans could not stop themselves here and called out Kylie and Hailey by saying that they both intentionally shaded their favorite one, Gomez.

During all this slam game, Kylie Jenner lost almost one million followers from her Instagram account, while Selena earned more than 10 million followers and also became the most followed woman on the Instagram.
When the eyebrows controversy was at it’s peak, Hailey wished her beloved husband named Justin Bieber on his birthday posting lovely photos with him on her Instagram account
“29 never looked so good,” her caption read on the photos “Happy Birthday to you best friend! Words couldn’t possibly sum up all that you embody. So here’s to more joy, more travel, yummy food, adventures, more peace, fun, and most of all more love.”
However, people did not appreciate and showed their love towards Hailey’s post and over thousands of people dropped negative comments on her post some of them also trolled Hailey for throwing shade on Gomez.
“You’re trying so hard to show us you’re in a happy marriage. We know the truth. Only time will tell,” a social media user wrote
“We do not care about your divorce,” another added.
“MARRIED BUT STILL FEELS INSECURE AND JEALOUS?” someone commented.
“Holding onto something that is forced and dead. Girl he never even wore his ring . This marriage is so forced and you know it. But you’re still holding on to dear life to keep that last name. Fkn Sad!” a fourth wrote.

Today, Selena Gomez has become the third most followed celebrity on social media app, after the famous footballer named Cristiano Ronaldo who has 562 million followers on Instagram, and then another footballer Lionel Messi who boasts 442 million followers on Instagram.
